Who am I ?
Hi, I’m Erik Astrand and the man behind this site.
My story? I am about to be 50 and all my life I have been interested in technical things. Not sure if the special interest for the wind, and how to use the wind, started when I as a 5 year old boy and got my first sail dinghy.
Anyway, wind power and to build my own wind generator was a dream for several years. I studied many websites and also bought many courses before I finally built my own windmill. This site is about that journey and you will also find some more general articles about wind power.

what about side pressure of the wind at 12m/s or higher?

Seems like a good idea, for individual home power. Obviously it fits better into most homes or roofs than a propeller, is less noisy, and safer for animals and people.
why cant we put this along the coastal area?

I read somewhere that the windmills are slowing up the turn of the earth, they said that if we keep building these windmills earth will take longer to turn. I m not sure how true that is but it sure does make sense to me.

@rhoula If that makes sense to you then you need to study a lot of science. Because there is absolutely no way those two motions relate to each other in a way that would cause interference. Sheesh. This planet needs to start teaching their children a helluva lot more science…
Its always a great idea to exchange idea with people. You could have just answered with your idea instead of going around the pot telling me that I need to study a lot of Science. I m sure yourself you need to learn to communicate.
With all the respect I owe you, its “needs to start teaching Its children and not their Children”. Not so smart for someone that knows a lot about Science.

@rhoula the wind doesn’t contribute to the rotation of the earth. Just the gravitational forces between the earth and the sun and the earth on itself
