Sean, very interesting points about truckers. Wow, it’s becoming cheaper to get a room than idle your truck! Wow! That points to a a lot of problems right there!

    Hemp oil FTW!!

Most chem haulers have preset rates at locations where they know they will frequent it is not uncommon for a hauler to have to wait for production units. Do the math a driver has to shut down 10 solid hours a day x ppg plus the mechanical degradation of equipment just idleing. Some places have idle air this system allows you services by the hour hvac 110v cable inet I have seen cars/vans hooked up there too hey they are paying customers.

I love those windmills. And I like where you are going with your videos. Next time, pull over and shoot from the side of the road instead of shooting while driving. It’s safer and you’ll get better footage.

Thanks for the tips, Swanny! I know, sometimes I can be so stupid!

Sean, now they’re even having 2 drivers per truck, like my best friend, hippietrucker67. The wheels on that truck are ALWAYS turning; when one sleeps/watches DVD’s/eats microwave crap/etc, the other drives! Seems like my friend is trapped up there 12 hours a day! What do you think of these “sweatshop” or worse conditions?

  13. BearNSO says:

You got a problem? Take it to BearNSO!

  14. cdltpx says:

Team driving has been around for a while I would not care for it. Laws are pro team soaking for 10 hours is insane. Teams can get home weekly earn more but is a sweatshop. It saves fuel reduces cost for truck owners reduces idle time. I am disabeled with the surgery that I have had I can’t team I could be injured worse. I think they should set up motels/bunk houses along routes truck arrives swap driver. This way driver gets exercize they swim walk. Road way does this driver miss home one night.

the government is responsible for everything. There is always a better way to do things than what the government is doing now. I agree that it’s a good idea, but I don’t think it’s gonna fix up all the crap the air and the earth has had to endure because of the carelessness and hated of some mankind. there has to be better ways. Great video brother!

  16. rioyoki says:

I think wind energy is the one of the best solutions. It’s been used for centuries and it’s not like we’d ever run out of wind. Solar power and wind energy is the way to go. There is no fixing the damage done but people can still contribute to save whats left in nature. Or does any one remember water mills? those worked, not so practical these days but you get the idea.

  17. blaziermissy says:

Harnessing wind energy is highly efficient, but there is also geothermal, tidal wave and meg lav.

Support the Venus project/Zeitgeist movement, otherwise the elitist power monolpoly will be profiting from these “should-be-free” natural resources.

  25. TheRugbyProp says:

i dont like wind energy, it is too unreliable im pro nuclear or hydroelectric in dams and also solar, but there is still a lot better possibilities

Who am I ?

Erik

Hi, I’m Erik Astrand and the man behind this site.

My story?
I am about to be 50 and all my life I have been interested in technical things. Not sure if the special interest for the wind, and how to use the wind, started when I as a 5 year old boy and got my first sail dinghy.

Anyway, wind power and to build my own wind generator was a dream for several years. I studied many websites and also bought many courses before I finally built my own windmill. This site is about that journey and you will also find some more general articles about wind power.

Enjoy! and check out the about me page to read more.
