Wind farms and gigantic windmills are huge investments and that is not what we are talking about here. What is the cost then for a small domestic wind generation system?

This also depends on many different factors. Do you have to buy the complete system ready built or do you have the ability to build or assemble a do it yourself kit.

There are diy kits that claim that you can get wind power from a small windmill for $150. In this case you buy most of the parts from your locale hardware store. You build the wind turbine yourself and could be producing free green energy in a few hours. This isn’t the kind of wind generator that produces large amount of electricity but in these days every watt counts.
