What things can wind energy power?

Wind energy can provide electrical power to provide lighting right? What if you had gas power? Can wind energy provide gas power, for instance to heat up a hot water tank?

Can anybody recommend websites?
I didn’t mean converting wind power into gas. I meant using wind power as a substitute where gas is used, e.g. for heating a hot water tank. I appreciate all the replies.

How do places with wind and solar energy sustain their power?

Some places rely on solar and wind energy right? To power their homes and such. How do they use energy in the night or when there is no wind? Do they have something that stores the energy like a big battery or something?

I have to “make” a green city and it will use renewable energy source including solar and wind energy. How would I make the wind and solar energy sustainable and not have shortages of power?

How do we make wind turbine power generators safer for birds?

A big concern surrounding wind energy is the safety of birds. Is there a current model that eliminates this problem? If so, is there a version of that model for home use?

Wind Power?

Wind Energy?
"950W of power at 45km.hr winds
Delivers 100 Kw / hours a month at an average wind speed of 5.4 m/s
Adjustable voltage (12/24/36/48V)"

Can someone please tell me what that means? And my question is would you be able to indefinitely power a small fridge, a TV and other things on that wind turbine which costs 000? I’m posting this many times because I’m not satisfied with the answers I already received. People are just not making it simple enough to comprehend. Its all spanish to me.

Why Isn’t Pelosi Forcing the Elderly & Poor to Buy Wind Power to Air Condition Their Houses?

Wind power is available for an EXTRA $.05/kwh in Obama supporting PA.

But few residents buy it.

Isn’t it time for Democrats to tell all of us — poor, elderly, rich, young — that we must use wind energy to help save the planet no matter what it costs?

How is energy generated from wind power stored?

and is this storage of electrical energy harmful to us in a similar way as power generated through normal measures (such as oil and coal plants – known to cause tumors and birth defects) under high tension cables/power lines? If there is a storage plant for wind energy, what’s the distance from a house that’s considered safe? I’d love to install a wind turbine, so i figured to ask before installation.

Who advocates for wind power to be used?

I neeeed to know who are some major people or orginazations or whatever that encourage and advocate wind energy usage/ wind power???

Who am I ?

Erik

Hi, I’m Erik Astrand and the man behind this site.

My story?
I am about to be 50 and all my life I have been interested in technical things. Not sure if the special interest for the wind, and how to use the wind, started when I as a 5 year old boy and got my first sail dinghy.

Anyway, wind power and to build my own wind generator was a dream for several years. I studied many websites and also bought many courses before I finally built my own windmill. This site is about that journey and you will also find some more general articles about wind power.

Enjoy! and check out the about me page to read more.
