Q. How the electricity is produced by using wind power?

Please describe in details how do the whole mechanisms work? How it is developed? What apparatus is required? How the wind turbine is constructed and how it works? Explain me all questions by using 3d figures or images or video if available. Please guide me in the easiest way as much as possible; I want to make electricity for my home by using wind power or wind turbines what should I do? How can I achieve or construct it myself?

I have a few questions about wind power?

Well, I don’t know much about wind power and I was wondering if I could go completely off the grid with wind power, or do I need to have a backup like solar? How much would it cost to buy a wind turbine and have it installed? Since I’d be making electricity on my own land, would it be free? Can I use wind power for heating my home?

Sorry it’s so many questions.
I meant once I install it, would I get electricity free?

Equipping Home with Wind Generated Power How to Begin?

I am considering equipping a home in West Texas (11 acres of land, plenty of room) with wind powered generators in order to provide electricity to the property. Where does one begin? Can windmills generate enough power to run the home, how is the A/C tied into the home and the feed fro the power company? Any thoughts? Thanks.

Time it takes to recoup an investment such as Wind power plant?

Let’s say the wind power plant costs $ 300 million. You will supply electricity to residential homes.
What do you think? How long will it take to recoup that $ 300 million?

wind power?

what are the positives of wind power?
i have got so far that
off shore takes up no land
it can provide 10% of UK’s electricity
it is renewable
and it doesnt cause and pollution

New Wind Turbine Design Good for Rural, Urban Environment

Wind power is one of the fastest growing forms of alternative energy in the world. More and more, wind power mills are seen in the countryside, in large wind farms and for the most part, away from city life. But a new form of wind power is now designed to work in an urban environment. VOA producer Zulima Palacio has the story. Mill Arcega narrates.

The Benefits of Wind Energy

The benefits of wind energy are many as you certainly know. The best part is that there is the possibility to build a wind generator yourself for a reasonable cost nowadays.

Wind turbines – white structures with three or more blades which are used to generate electricity from the wind – are one of the most efficient methods of generating renewable energy.

Make Electricity From Wind

Wind turbines are often used to make electricity from wind.

With more and more fuels getting wasted and used, there are very few options remaining. Bio-fuel is one of the options and to add to it is the use of solar panels for driving motors and making electricity. The third option is harnessing the wind power. (more…)

Wind Power Cost

Wind power cost is naturally all depending on the size of the project. Wind farms and gigantic windmills are huge investments and that is not what we are talking about here. What is the cost then for a small domestic wind generation system? (more…)

Who am I ?

Erik

Hi, I’m Erik Astrand and the man behind this site.

My story?
I am about to be 50 and all my life I have been interested in technical things. Not sure if the special interest for the wind, and how to use the wind, started when I as a 5 year old boy and got my first sail dinghy.

Anyway, wind power and to build my own wind generator was a dream for several years. I studied many websites and also bought many courses before I finally built my own windmill. This site is about that journey and you will also find some more general articles about wind power.

Enjoy! and check out the about me page to read more.
