Will they ever invent a completely wireless laptop that runs on wind power and never heats up or need battery?

Nothing is impossible. You just have to be there and live long enough to see things come true.

When the first mobile phone came out I remember I thought about the idea of sending and receiving short text messages. A few years later that was a reality.

Sometimes companies do have the technology to make very sophisticated things, however, the fact that production costs are high and the need to recover production costs of other more basic technology (plus the fact that selling computers is a big business) makes companies move very slow on the release of new technology. In other words, they will sell basic technology until it is no longer a business to do so. Then they will introduce newer technology with some improvements and milk the cow (that is get all the money the can get out of it) again, and so on until after many years you see technology that probably existed already 10 or 20 years ago…

Maybe there is already a laptop like the one you describe. Maybe they will release it to the market in 10 or 20 years from now…

Perhaps, but it might be bothersome to keep blowing on that little propeller.

Who am I ?

Erik

Hi, I’m Erik Astrand and the man behind this site.

My story?
I am about to be 50 and all my life I have been interested in technical things. Not sure if the special interest for the wind, and how to use the wind, started when I as a 5 year old boy and got my first sail dinghy.

Anyway, wind power and to build my own wind generator was a dream for several years. I studied many websites and also bought many courses before I finally built my own windmill. This site is about that journey and you will also find some more general articles about wind power.

Enjoy! and check out the about me page to read more.
