Hi, I’m Erik Astrand and the man behind this site.
My story? I am about to be 50 and all my life I have been interested in technical things. Not sure if the special interest for the wind, and how to use the wind, started when I as a 5 year old boy and got my first sail dinghy.
Anyway, wind power and to build my own wind generator was a dream for several years. I studied many websites and also bought many courses before I finally built my own windmill. This site is about that journey and you will also find some more general articles about wind power.

The day a conservative perfects wind and solar will be the day he is ordered to by big oil because all the wells have run dry, the sun is blocked out, the crops won’t grow, the water is poisoned, the fish are dead, and none of it will matter anymore.
More likely that Power Companies will call the police on anyone who disconnects from the power grid.

You truly are one of the most ignorant people I know. You destroy your credibility when you throw blind insults instead of actually trying to make arguments. If you said a reasonable point I would probably fight back but at least it wouldn’t be condescending remarks like 12 years old say. And, what makes you think a conservative will "perfect" wind and solar power? Last time I checked it was "Drill Baby Drill" and they weren’t the least bit concerned on finding alternative energy sources. Not to mention, the wind doesn’t always blow and the sun doesn’t always shine.
Democrats tax everything, cigar taxes, fast food taxes salt taxes. Its not about modifying your behaviour its about getting more money for their bureaucratic cronies and union thug bosses
When solar first came out, California’s PG&E tried to claim it owned the sun and initiated measures to charge solar users for having solar cells. This was about 1978. I have no doubt the Liberals would tax the sun and wind too.
Fusion power is where it is at. Either that or Quantum energy.
In Holland where they have windmills and solar already
they are wealthier, taller, happier, healthier and they live longer
than right wing Americans. Just a thought.
In Sweden, who acheives 0 emissions in 2012, they are even
better off.
