Who am I ?
Hi, I’m Erik Astrand and the man behind this site.
My story? I am about to be 50 and all my life I have been interested in technical things. Not sure if the special interest for the wind, and how to use the wind, started when I as a 5 year old boy and got my first sail dinghy.
Anyway, wind power and to build my own wind generator was a dream for several years. I studied many websites and also bought many courses before I finally built my own windmill. This site is about that journey and you will also find some more general articles about wind power.

The United States is never going to be peaceful because we have too many jealous nations that want to get rid of us. If we were all laid back on a high, what do you think would happen if China, North Korea, Iran or Russia decided to make a confrontation. We’d be saying, "It’s all right. We’ll just talk to them tomorrow." Meanwhile, Manhatten is being bombed and the white house is next.

No, take one look at the people in Denmark and Holland and then take a look at the type of people in the US, especially in America’s inner cities
That’s the problem right now! We have tooooo many dope smoking windbags in DC today! We are the Worlds Police Force, and we can’t stop or we will be taken over by the worlds Evil minorities. We need to put an American Flag in every country that has a resource we need and Nationalize their resources so the American people can have these things CHEAP! America First and Foremost Always! I find your solution very amusing. That will not happen. You speak as if it was that easy. Denmark and Holland is not world power and doesnt have 300 million people living in their countries. Both of them combined are less than 10 million. Lesser people means lesser confusion and red tape.
Wind power is really expensive right now and if we turned to that, we would have to pay more taxes for lesser power which would destroy the economy. Coal is the solution right now in this economy plus it is much cleaner than a century ago.
Marijuana will not be legalized because there are lobbyists in congress that will not let that happen. If it does, they will lose money due to their toxicity of their products. Law enforcements will lose their jobs due lesser criminals on street and private prison complex will also be destroyed and thousand layoffs would take place therefore worsen the economy.
Yes… it is not because of windpower that people become peaceful and when I smoked m a lot, 30 years ago, I was everything but peaceful. Still the US could have an example here in community sense (the Danes) and law enforcement (Dutch) in order to bring more inner-peace. You may be better off not putting everyone in jail and commercializing social trust.
