I use them to power my lighting along my balcony. Actually I got the infomation from http://www.makewindpowerathome.com. Thats where I got my blade designs from and learnt how to wire it up.. It will cost you under $150 if you use the plans from http://www.earth4power.biz . It also has cheap wind turbine plans (small scale ones like this, but they are slightly more complicated to assemble). I'd really recommend you take a look.
