Does Hussein Carter Know the Economics of Wind & Solar Power & How it Will Bankrupt the US Economy?

Does Hussein Carter realize that other countries aren’t pursuing these sources because they would destroy the standard of living for the countries’ citizens?
Did he take massive contributions from China like Bill Clinton did in exchange for sending millions of US jobs to China?

I don’t agree. Maybe if we had followed through on some of Carter’s energy saving ideas we wouldn’t be so dependent on foreign oil today. The incoming president after Carter even had the solar panels taken off the White House roof as one of his very first acts.

people are stupid, they think spending hundreds of millions on products to help suppliment our energy supplies will be better then to optimize what we have now and get more of it.

Back in the 70′s renewable energy (other than hydro) was pretty expensive. But we’ve made significant breakthroughs in both wind and solar energy. I am especially fond of thin-solar. You should check it out because it’s a real breakthrough that could enable us to heat our homes with cheap energy one day.

Remember what computers were like just ten years ago. And remember what they were ten years before that? The world is becoming increasingly more technologically advanced and if we want to end our dependence on a scarce resource, we need to look at the future with alternative energy that will one day be more affordable than oil. I believe this will be sooner than later because of how the green industry has been evolving even in the last three years.

By the way, what’s going to bankrupt our Country is if foreign nations stop loaning us money. Countries like China are already weary and mad about the financial crisis that Wall Street started. Really the only way we can get out of this mess is if we transform our outdated manufacturing industry that can no longer compete with Mexico and China into a green manufacturing industry. If we don’t make the right decisions, we really will fall into bankruptcy. If you believe that investing in green jobs is going to be bad for our economy then please tell me what other strategy there is.

Obama could care less as he said he will bankrupt the clean coal companies.

Obama wants to do many stupid things that have proved to fail. However, the staff he just hired want to be successful so even though I can’t stand Obama I believe he will not be able to do much destruction.

I am hoping I am right.

Dude, your hero McCain ran on the same "cap & trade" energy policy as Obama.

The U.S. is already investing in alternative energy. I believe that the U.S. will natually go into alternative energy by 2050 as the oil/gas shocks will get worse and worse. There are already 3-D sollar panels that produce 500% more energy than normal solar panels and super black (shaped carbon) that can absorb over 99% of the light. There is even portable solar panels that can be worn and rolled up like a sleeping bag. Wind farms will also be big.

Shhhhh. Don’t tip him off..let him screw it up worse and then maybe we’ll be rid of republicans and democrats.

Who am I ?

Erik

Hi, I’m Erik Astrand and the man behind this site.

My story?
I am about to be 50 and all my life I have been interested in technical things. Not sure if the special interest for the wind, and how to use the wind, started when I as a 5 year old boy and got my first sail dinghy.

Anyway, wind power and to build my own wind generator was a dream for several years. I studied many websites and also bought many courses before I finally built my own windmill. This site is about that journey and you will also find some more general articles about wind power.

Enjoy! and check out the about me page to read more.
