West Texas. Search: "West Texas" "Wind Power"
Just cut and paste that search querry into google, and you’ll get loads of info. West Texas is one of the biggest producers and is also is expanding the quickest thanks to subsidies and a drive to be the number one power producer from the Texas government.
Wind power in America generates about 10,000 MegaWatts
today. BTW, its called Wind Farms – the places where they have all those turbines to generate the electricity.

There is a very large wind farm in the SF Bay Area near Livermore call the Altamont Pass Wind Farm. US Windpower was a pioneer in the industry (they are now part of another larger company)

There are also wind farms in Holland, England, outside of Bencia, CA. I believe the largest is still in the Altamont Pass in California (between Tracy and Livermore)
